This
wine is a balance between full flavour and ease of drinking,
provided by fermenting the fruit in traditional open fermenters
and the use of a basket press. The wine was aged for 28 months
in oak, giving it ample time to soften and mature –
a luxury afforded by patient, hands-on winemaking.
Colour:
Vibrant, dark red
Aroma:
Dark berries with earthy tones and integrated oak
Palate:
Soft and rounded, with dense, mouth-filling berry
flavours and hints of licorice and vanilla.
Winestate:
Earthy complexity to the red berry/chocolaty nose. Rich, balanced
fruit
cake palate softening with age but still bright and youthful.
